I was born in New Zealand and grew-up in Australia from age 12, - although the way I speak, people usually think I come from somewhere between England and Australia! MORE ABOUT ME: I'm a Radio Producer/Journalist who makes features and documentaries, although in the future I hope to work in live programme production as well. I have a Degree in Media Production, but have also completed special studies on foreign reporting/correspondence, documentary history/theory and broadcast journalism.. |

| From previous work, I have a good working knowledge of the advertising, promotion and marketing industries, along with some knowledge of associated areas such as publicity and public relations. But my special interest is documentary journalism, where I like to focus on the human condition; how we react and try to survive in the world around us - and how we can be better at taking care of ourselves and the planet. |

The human condition also connects with broader social, cultural and environmental issues. I use many 'modes' to tell these stories. These include expository, performative, reflexive and participatory vehicles of delivery. Oh, now I've confused some of you! It's okay, I will teach you! In fact, I am teaching English in Asia while I work on a Masters Degree in International Media Communication. But Asia is also a planned move, as I have wanted to permanently work from both Japan and Taiwan for a loooooong time - and now I am here! |
